A Closer Look At The Falcon 4 Tandem

  • Purpose-Built Tandem Airframe

The Falcon 4 Tandem’s refined planform and sail cut are specifically tuned for high load capacity and two-person operations. Its balanced handling characteristics allow instructors to maintain precise control while accommodating a wide range of passenger weights and experience levels.

  • Stiff, Lightweight 7075-T6 Structure

Featuring 60/62 mm front leading edges and 50 mm rear leading edges made from 7075-T6 aluminum, the Falcon 4 Tandem achieves exceptional stiffness without unnecessary weight. This translates into flatter turns, lighter bar pressure, and more efficient climb performance even at heavy hook-in weights.

  • Heavy-Duty Tandem Control Bar

An extra-wide 64-inch basetube, combined with 1.25 × .095 downtubes and basetube tubing, provides increased strength, improved leverage, and enhanced comfort for both instructor and passenger. The reinforced keel interface and control bar fittings are exclusive to the Tandem model and built for long-term durability.

  • Durable Sail Construction

A heavy-duty 240 MT square trailing-edge fabric improves longevity in high-use environments while speed battens reduce flutter and help maintain sail shape over time. Pre-formed 7075-T6 battens and lever rear batten tips simplify setup and tuning.

  • Optimized for Instruction & Repetition

Excellent low-speed handling, forgiving stall characteristics, and predictable responses make the Falcon 4 Tandem especially well-suited for instruction, demonstration flights, and commercial tandem operations where consistency and safety are paramount.
