Our Zero to Hero: Beginner Course is a structured hang gliding course designed to guide you from complete beginner to confident solo pilot.
Your journey begins with a combination of theory and hands-on practice. From your very first hang gliding lesson, you’ll experience free flight on day one. Skills are taught progressively, starting with bunny hops on gentle slopes and building toward higher flights as your knowledge and ability develop.
Safety underpins every single session with us. You’ll learn correct glider assembly and complete pre-flight checks before each flight, ensuring consistency, confidence, safety, and control.

Cancellation Policy
For Courses and Guided Tours:
A 25% deposit is required to confirm a booking and is non-refundable.
Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the course start date may transfer the deposit to another available WWFS course date within 12 months.
Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the course start date forfeit the deposit.
No refunds will be provided for cancellations after the course has commenced.
For Tandem Hang Glider Flights:
A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking and is non-refundable.
Deposits are non-refundable.
Tandem flights may be rescheduled if the participant provides at least 72 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled flight date.
Cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice forfeit the deposit.
Cancellation by WWFS
If WWFS cancels a course for operational or safety reasons, participants may choose either:
A full refund of any payments made, or transfer of their booking to another available WWFS course date.
Safety First
All instructional decisions regarding student progression, solo flight authorization, and graduation are made by WWFS instructors with safety as the primary consideration.
Hang gliding is weather-dependent, and course schedules may be adjusted to accommodate prevailing conditions.
WWFS will make every reasonable effort to maximize flying opportunities while maintaining the highest safety standards.
WWFS reserves the right to restrict, postpone, modify, or cancel activities when necessary to ensure participant safety.
Risk & Liabilities

Hang gliding is an adventure sport involving inherent risks.
All students must sign the applicable waivers and liability releases prior to participating in course activities.
Students are responsible for providing accurate information regarding their physical condition, previous experience, and any factors that may affect their participation in training activities.
WWFS reserves the right to restrict, modify, or suspend training activities if student safety may be compromised.
